3 Must Have Business Systems for Your Creative Business

Hey, I’m Linda aka The Habit Boss. I’m a creative entrepreneur with ADHD with over six years experience with two successful businesses & +15 years in the corporate. In that time I’ve learned that simple systems are the key to consistency, confidence and calm (yes, even with a busy brain). If you’re overwhelmed by content, sales or simply keeping track of your client, these are the three systems that changed everything for me.

1. The Client Journey System

No matter where you are in your business journey, having a system to support your client experience is essential. This doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. You can start with something as basic as Google Docs and saved email templates.

I personally use Flodesk and Easy Peasy Funnels to map the client journey from inquiry to sale to follow-up. These tools make it easy for clients to navigate my world and easy for me to stay on top of where everyone is.

Here’s what your client journey system can include

✅ A welcome or onboarding form

✅ Terms & conditions

✅ A clear sales or services page
✅ Automated emails that keep things flowing

When your system is working, you’ll feel more organised and your clients will feel more confident about buying from you.

2. The Content System

As a creative entrepreneur, your content can do a lot of the heavy lifting, especially when you’re tired or burned out.

I created a content system that supports my business year-round. It includes

📲 Seasonal messaging (like big pushes in August & December)

3. The Sales System

Let’s say it together. Sales is not a dirty word.

Your sales system can be as simple or as sophisticated as you need it to be. Maybe right now it's just your bank or Revolut details and a saved response in Google Docs. That’s fine. But as your business grows, you’ll want

💰 A payment system (like Stripe, Revolut or different checkouts)
💰 Booking and automation tools
💰 Clear, confident copy that converts

If you’re a Pilates instructor, coach, photographer, or florist -
getting paid up front should be part of your system. Make it easy for people to say “yes.”

These 3 systems - Client Journey, Content and Sales aren’t about perfection. They’re about building support so you can be consistent, creative and calm.
